Modelling and numerical simulation
Using all its expertise gained by after-damage investigations and medium and large-scale tests, CNPP has been developing an activity of modelling and numerical simulation over the last ten years.
The Fire and Environment Laboratory modelling service offers you assistance in:
- creating operating authorization request records for classified installations for environment protection (ICPE)or third party expertise assignments;
- carrying out specific smoke ejection engineering, or kinematics of damage and evacuation kinetics studies;
- conducting post-damage expertise, in addition to on-site expertise, reconstructing damage either partially or fully, either as an experiment or as a numerical simulation
Modelling engineers work notably with:
- third party expert work groups, close to the Ministry of Ecology, Environment, and Sustainable and Regional Development;
- the national Fire Safety Engineering project;
- the fire research group, who brings together all parties involved in fire research, academics and manufacturers.
